Brian Decarlo Johnson

RICHMOND, Va. - Brian Decarlo Johnson, 45, of 2811 West Grace St., Richmond, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at VCU Medical Center. Born July 19, 1960, in Danville, he was a son of Ruby Leftridge Johnson and the late Joseph Johnson Jr. He was a well known artist in the Mid-Atlantic Region where many of his works were published in New York and Washington. He received his BA degree in Art from Virginia Commonwealth University and was currently pursuing his Masters Degree. He was employed at Hotel Jefferson as a service supervisor in the hospitality industry. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Sharon Johnson, and a brother, James Taylor, all of Danville. A funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at Bennett Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Clarence Hairston officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at 312 Withers Road, Danville.
