asked constantly. The newest (stupidest) questions are listed at the very bottom
Is Fieldens a private club? Yes, hence the name Fieldens a private club.
How do I get in? You must be 21 and older, have a VALID Photo ID, and be a member or a guest of a member in good standing with the club. You also must be open to people with "different lifestyles".
I'm not a member or a member's guest, how do I get in? Prior to getting to Fieldens ask around for a member that will bring you in as his or her guest. You can not ask anyone to get you in while in our lobby. We suggest you go to one of the other clubs/bars and find a member. The other clubs you are likely to find members are: Babe's, Barcode (formerly Casablanca), Broadway Cafe, Cosmopolitan (formerly Cheers), or Godfrey's. Do you send mail to my address? Not unless you signed up for the mailing list when you joined.
How much is membership? $50 the first year & $40 each year after to renew. You must be sponsored for membership by a current member. Sometimes we run a special during special events. Membership is subject to approval.
I have not received my membership card in the mail yet, when will it arrive? We do not mail them out. You must pick it up on your next visit, keep your receipt until then. Cards are usually issued for approved applications every 2-3 weeks.
I forgot my membership card can I still get in? Yes, as long as you have your valid Photo ID AND you are a current member. Please bring it next time so you don't slow down the line.
I had a bit too much, will you call me a cab? Absolutely! and you may have your car parked in our side lot until the next day. We use Veterans Cab or another if you prefer. Better to be safe than sorry.
Does this dress make me look fat? Yes, can't you tell?
I left my ID at home, can I still get in? No, ABC regulation forbid it. (Come on! where else are you going to go without a ID?)
Do I have to get stamped? Yes. Even if I'm not going out? Yes!
I was a member years ago, can I get in? Only as a guest of a current member.
I was a founding member, can I get in? Only as a guest of a current member.
I make 5 million dollars a year, can I get in? Hmmm
What's the difference between Trampolina and a bowling ball? Ask Steve Moore.
I was barred, can I come in when you are open to the public? No, barred means barred. Getting 50 of your friends to ask if you can get back in won't work either.
Should I leave the bartender a tip? Yes! and it gets you faster better service.
I'm a member can I bring my own beer or wine? No, however, you may bring your own liquor.
Since Fieldens is Non-profit, is my membership fee, cover charges, purchases, or donations tax-deductible? No, we are a nonprofit 501(c)7 social club. Membership fee, cover charges, purchases and donations are not tax-deductible. However you may be able to deduct them as a business entertainment expense, ask you tax advisor.
Is a 2" strap "bar legal" in the state of Virginia? NO! according to the ABC regulation NO PART of the buttocks can be shown. That includes the dimples on your cheeks, (Drats!)
Do you have any Energy Drinks, Specialty Dark Beers, Mints, or Cigars? Yes, but only on Saturdays in the basement, ask Charles.
Do you have any non-alcoholic beverages? Yes! Bottled water, cranberry juice, orange juice, sometimes pinapple juice, sometimes grapefruit juice, sodas, Red Bull, SoBe's Adrenaline Rush, Mt. Dew AMP, Starbucks Double Shots, Starbucks Moca frapachino, O'Doules, Arizona Ice Tea, a variety of Sobe's bottled drinks, and some brown stuff Steve calls Coffee.
What happened to the drag shows? We decided to focus on quality not quantity. We are trying to have them once a month. Check the calendar of events for the next one.
Why is there a line out the door from 2:00 to 3:00? Because someone ahead of you has forgotten their membership card, is charging $3 on their credit card, or is asking one of the questions that you are reading here on the web. Arrive shortly after Midnight and avoid the rush and have plenty of time to relax.
I have cranberry juice stain on my shirt, how do I get it out? A little club soda will do the trick.
Can I run a tab at the bar? Yes, IF you have NEVER declined a credit card at the club. It's best if you only run one tab on one floor. A signed imprint will be taken and held, so if you forget to close it out we can turn it in. Also, your first born will be taken and held until you guess that my real name is Rumplestiltskin.
Is it ok if I sneak in the side door? No, it's been tried many times. You and your friend that opened the door from the inside will be in big trouble, you will be barred for life, possibly arrested for trespassing, and the Karma police will pay you back tenfold.
Why was the guard at the front door mean and rude to me? We pay Vic and Gary move the line along. They do this by turning non-members away at the door, sorting out foolishness, and keeping the peace. They really know how to handle stalkers too. Get to know them, they are really nice guys!
I have a bottle at the club, can I take it home? Yes, but you must get a paper bag at the front desk and store it in your trunk until you get home.
Is Ross really straight? He says yes but, only Heavenleigh knows for sure.
